St. Luke Community Food Box Program
Community Food Box Program occurs here at St. Luke, on the last Saturday of each month, for members of our community in need. Food boxes and bags are prepared to give to those in attendance.
Ways you can participate…
Community Food Box Monthly Distribution
Sign up in the church Narthex at the “Get Connected” board to help with the monthly distribution. There are opportunities to register and greet guests, assemble and distribute food boxes, and help take groceries carts of food and goods out to the parking lot for our guests. We also need individuals to pick up food from the Oregon Food Bank two Thursdays per month and deliver it back to the church.
Community Food Box Ministry Team
This group meets quarterly and oversees the food box program. They administrate the Community Food Box Program funds, plan for outreach activities, apply for grants, and plan new and more effective ways to reach out to our neighbors through this ministry.
