OASIS Update

HVAC Update

The St. Luke OASIS (Outdoor Activity Social Intergenerational Space) opened for play and gatherings on Sunday, November 16th!

Work will continue through spring 2026, but all are welcome now to enjoy the space!
A contract was signed in late October for a new HVAC system with American Heating. The HVAC project is scheduled to be completed by June 30, 2026 in time for summer where the church building will have a new installed cooling system and replace our existing heating system.

Community Table Update

Lower Shalom got a makeover! After some remodeling thanks to our volunteer crew, a new commercial refrigerator and freezer were installed in September 2025.

This reconfiguration and expansion enables our Community Table food distribution program to acquire food from Oregon Food Bank and store it on a rolling basis. This increased food storage capacity will allow Community Table to better serve clients now that distributions take place twice a month.

Elevator Project

The initial contracts were signed in late August.  The work is expected to start with parts being made, then installation to start in winter 2025, with completion in spring 2026.

This project will bring the elevator up to the new Oregon code and will replace the electrical controls that are no longer available.

In the meantime, the elevator is still safe and reliable to use prior to the upgrades.
